A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDERS

We created Casa Colectiva because, somewhere along the way, Mexico changed our lives.

What began with a love for agave spirits became something much deeper. We were lucky enough to stumble into a world that very few people ever get to see—not because it is hidden, but because access to it is built on trust, friendship, time, and showing up.

Over the years, people opened doors for us. They invited us into their homes, their bars, their distilleries, their fields, and their families. They shared bottles with us that would never reach a shelf. They taught us to taste differently, to listen more closely, and to understand that behind every great spirit is a story of land, sacrifice, tradition, family, and human hands.

There are people we will spend our lives thanking for that.

Esteban Morales is one of them.

Esteban, thank you for your wisdom, your culture, your guidance, and for helping us understand that this world is about far more than what is inside a bottle. Your influence on our journey is impossible to measure, and so much of what we hope to share through Casa Colectiva carries something you taught us along the way.

We think, too, of the bars we first walked into as guests and are now lucky enough to call family. Of the bartenders who became friends, teachers, and guides. Of the producers who welcomed us with nothing to prove and everything to share. People who would give you the shirt off their back, pour the last of something irreplaceable into your glass, and ask for nothing in return except that you sit, listen, and understand.

Casa Colectiva is our way of honouring that generosity.

We created this house because we believe our role is to be a conduit. To connect people who are willing to listen with the people, places, brands, and traditions that deserve to be heard. To take the knowledge we were fortunate enough to receive and pass it forward with respect.

Through our work at The Beverage Collective, we have been incredibly fortunate to help bring Mexican spirits and the stories behind them to Canada. But Casa Colectiva is something more personal. It is our opportunity to bring you here—to sit at the same tables, walk the same fields, meet the same families, and experience the generosity that changed us.

We want to help give these producers and brands a Canadian and global platform. Not by speaking for them, but by creating more opportunities for them to speak for themselves.

Our job is simply to open the door.

To share what was shared with us.

To connect people.

To keep listening.

And to welcome anyone willing to do the same.

Welcome to Casa Colectiva.
